The Epiphany Festival

Andrew Jonathan Welch, Director

Epiphany Festival Choir

The Epiphany Festival invites you to sing with us as part of our fifth season! The choir will perform Einojuhani Rautavaara’s entrancing Vigilia, his program-length all a cappella setting of the Orthodox All-Night vigil. Written in 1971, this inventive and colorful piece has been gradually amassing a following across the whole world: we are pleased to present its first known performance in greater Washington, DC.

If you are interested in joining Andrew Jonathan Welch and the Epiphany Festival choir, please send an e-mail to EpiphanyFestivalDC@gmail.com. Dues are $60 ($15 for students), and cover the cost of the rehearsal venue and copies of the music, which may be picked up at the first rehearsal or mailed in advance. Financial aid for these dues is available. You do not have to be available for all rehearsals in order to sing, but must be present for the dress rehearsal and performance.

Please RSVP by December 1st, 2025

All events take place at Westmoreland UCC in Bethesda. Parking is available on site and the church is accessible via bus.
